Governor Ambode is not in Edo State - Lagos State Govt denies allegations by the Edo PDP Guber candidate

Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the candidate of the PDP in the ongoing Edo State Gubernatorial election, alleged earlier today that Lagos and Kaduna state governors Akinwunmi Ambode and Nasir el-Rufai are in Benin city. According to him, their intentions could not be genuine and their presence was worrisome, especially since there was a restriction on movement even for those in the state by security agencies.

However, Steve Ayorinde, the Lagos state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, has refuted the claims in a series of tweets on twitter:
