It is settled! Miracle Ikechukwu Igbekwe has emerged the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 3. The journey which started 85 days ago has paid off. Miracle defeated close rivals Cynthia aka Cee-C by and Tobiloba Bakare by scoring 38.18 % of votes while Cee-C and Tobi scored 28.04 and 22.53 respectively.
From the beginning of the show, Miracle was already tipped as a strong contender for the grand prize. His puppy love teen-styled approach to his romance with another finalist Nina made the housemates who were only just strategic partners get lovestruck. ‘Flyboy’ his fans called the trained pilot! His female fans grew in numbers and during the week’s Miracle was put up for eviction, an army of loyal supporters rally and campaigned vigorously with the slogan ‘We Die Here’.
Miracle apart from just being a FLYBOY was also very active and visible in the house, which saw him win the prestigious Head Of House Title 3 Times. He won the Pepsi competition which came with 1million naira, a full year supply of Pepsi and an all expense paid trip the One Africa Fest in the United States. Miracle also won the payporte games 5 times in a row which earned him an additional 3 Million and just 4days ago, he won another 1million with Alex in the CloseUp Challenge.
However, it was the clip in which it is widely believed that miracle was having sex with strategic partner Nina, that will be his most memorable moment of the season. The love between the two significantly waxed cold during the closing days of the show and it doesn’t look like there will be a continuation of it after the show though Nina said she would continue with being with him.
Tobi, on the other hand, endured a bittersweet relationship in the house with his strategic partner Cee-C. Because of the drama, their relationship brought to the show, they were probably the most talked about pair on the show this season. For those on the outside, Tobi, a former banker and fitness enthusiast has a killer body to die for which obviously caught the attention of a lot of female fans who drolled any time the 24-year old put his body on display.
Tobi also won the hearts of even his greatest critics in the last week of the show after he seemingly soaked in and survived a barrage of insults and rage from Cee-C after the latter went into an over half an hour rant on Tobi for which she later apologised after being penalised with a strike.
Cee-C is, without doubt, the most talked about housemate during this season. Her constant spats with over 70 percent of all the housemates in the house constantly brought drama to the house, so much that she was nicknamed the real ‘double wahala’ by viewers.
As much as she had critics, so also did she have a legion of supporters including top Nigerian celebrities who felt she deserved some support even with her obvious shortcomings. She will, however, go down in the history of the show as the shortest serving Head of House and she was demoted from her position in just two days following her almost hour-long outburst with her in-house lover Tobi.
This season, the housemates were heavily criticized that they lacked talent and didn’t put up a great outing. It is important to note that the show isn’t a talent hunt.
The organizers themed it ‘Double Wahala’ and that was what Nigerians got. A few twists and turns saw two evicted housemates Khloe and Anto return to the show. The underdogs Alex and Nina got to the finals and the greatest upset would be the double evicting of Bambam and Teddy A aka BamTeddy just under 24 hours. In all, it was a great show filled with intrigue and Nigerians were entertained, see you next season!
