We nearly called off the December 30Billion concert last year - Davido

Last year, Nigerian international pop star Davido broke the record of first Nigerian concert to trend worldwide with his end of year #30BillionConcert which held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.

The event which had millions tweeting from different parts of the worldwide including the US and UK was, however, nearly called off.

Davido made this revelation during a recent interview with HipTV, explaining that the death of his crew members DJ Olu and Tagbo almost led him to cancel the event. “This is a concert that we almost called-off when I lost my friends, we didn’t think we had the strength or good public perception of us at that time”.

The mysterious death of his friends caused a few people to point accusing fingers at the pop star, but in time, he was vindicated and proven innocent.

The 30 Billion Concert is reportedly the highest grossing concert in Nigerian history said to have couped up to five hundred million naira.
