Tekno disqualified from the 2016 Headies Awards (See his reactions)

Triple MG singer, Tekno has been disqualified from the 2016 Headies Awards. He got only one slot, the 'Next Rated' category which he just lost. The disqualification follows the singer’s deliberate refusal to meet the organisers requirements by making himself available for promotional activities that required his presence including photoshoots etc.

 In view of this, Ycee, Aramide, Humblesmith and Mr. Eazi will now compete for the award without him in that category.  It would be recalled that the singer complained over his nomination as a next rated singer when he mocked the organisers in an Instagram post he later deleted as he asked, ‘Next Rated after how many years? Let’s be honest pls” The event holds tomorrow, December 22, 2016.
