Davido reacts after fan calls his Sony Deal a pure water deal after Ycee signed the same deal

In January 2016, Davido became the first African act to sign a global deal with SONY music worth over $1million.

Not long after, rising act Ayo Jay got a deal deal, followed by Wizkid and just a few days ago, Nigerian rapper, YCEE got a deal with Sony music.

A fan on twitter, while congratulating YCEE on his new deal, took a swipe at Davido;

The sonny deal that @iam_Davido was bragging about has turned to pure water now … congrats to@iam_YCEE

As expected, Davido didn’t let it slide, he responded saying;
