In January 2016, Davido became the first African musician to sign a record deal with Sony Music Worldwide at their New York office. Apparently, he is about to be joined on the world stage soon.

It was reliably gathered by Nigerian Daily Mail that Wizkid is set to sign a similar deal with Sony Music Worldwide as he continues his international rise.
A highly placed source confirms that ‘Wizkid’s new deal with Sony is a done deal, the News should be out couple of days’.

Close source also confirmed that when the news is made official, ‘Wizkid is going to be in the same building as Davido at Sony Music’s New York office’.
